Wellspring

from $50.00

For several days, I walked alone along the Atlantic coast of Portugal with the ocean as my steadfast companion, her waves below the cliff's edge of my path fascinating me with their transient fluidity. This image was inspired by the writing and wisdom of John O'Donohue, an Irish poet, priest and philosopher. I'd thought often of his work on that walk and especially this passage from his book, Anam Cara: “You can search far and in hungry places for love. It is a great consolation to know that there is a wellspring of love within yourself. If you trust that this wellspring is there, you will then be able to invite it to awaken.”

Sagres, Portugal.
